8 golden tips
1- Read read read
Read the holy Quran, explore its meaning based on logic, based on your experience, based on the current events. Read the Sunnah, the sayings of prophet Muhammad PBUH as he has not spoken of anything from himself, instead, he was “inspired” by Allah SWT.
Read whatever useful books you can get your hands on, read about your religion, read about science, read the news!
2- Remember Allah swt
Remember Allah swt all the time, whatever you are doing, if you are in a line waiting, if you are just sitting and doing nothing, just make the best out of your time and remember Allah swt: (dhikr) is to remember Allah swt, mention his name, say Alhamdulillah, Allahu Akbar, Subhanallah, Astaghfirullah, La ilaha illa Allah, La hawla wa la quwwata Illa billah, etc.
3-choose whom you friend.
Choose your friends, it is said that to have one friend in one thousand years is better than having one thousand friends in one day: meaning to have a friend that can stay with you for a long time, advising, supporting, encouraging to do good things, is better than having one thousand friends for one temporary day, remember : you become who your friend is.
Pray in the mosque, pray with a group, pray with your friends, pray on time, prayer is the key of success in this life, and in the hereafter.
5-choose a mentor
Choose someone reliable and religious to mentor you, teach you, advise you, correct your ideas if they are wrong. A mentor will help you through Inshallah.
Be gentle in everything, A Muslim is a gentle person, gentle in talking, in walking, in praying, in treating others, with people, at work, when laughing, when learning, when reading the holy Quran. Just be gentle and this will have a great impact on your life.
Be patient, whether you are a new Revert, or a born Muslim, be sure you will have your share of problems in life, just be strong, do not be afraid, Allah swt is with you, this is the good news!
Patience is the key to paradise, and patience will lead to wonderful things in life.
Patience is the key to everything and patience will bring you to where you have never been. Patience will help you reach your goal, even if it is as far and great as the paradise.
