The Angels and man

First : The angels and man:

when Allah (swt) wanted to create Adam (as), He informed his angels of that.

They ask him the reason behind that , because they knew that the sons of Adam would cause corruption and shed blood , and they would disobey Allah and  disbelieve.He told them that there were reason for the creation of Adam which they did not know.

Allah (swt) says :

And (mention ,O Muhammad )when your Lord said to the Angles, ” Indeed , I will make upon the earth a successive authority ,” They said< ” Will you place upon it one who cause s corruption therein and sheds blood , while we declare Your praise and sanctify You ?” , ” Indeed , I know that which you do not know,” {2:30}.

a. Their prostration to Adam when he was created

Allah (swt) commanded His Angels to prostrate to Adam (as) when He had completed his creation and breathed his soul into him :

Allah (swt ) says:

{ So mention } when your Lord said to the angels , ” Indeed , I am going to create a human being from clay.So when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My {created } soul , then fall down to him in prostration.” ( 38 : 71-72 ).

they responded to the commanded ,except for Iblees.

Allah (swt ) says:

( So the angels prostrated all of them entirely .Except Iblees ; he was arrogant and became among the disbeliever . {38: 74 }..

B. The angels washed Adam (as) when he died

when Adam (as) died , his children did not know what they should do with his body , so the angels taught them. It is narrated from Ubayy ( RA ) that the prophetMuhammad (saw) said : When Adam died ,the angel washed his body with water an odd number of times, then they buried him in a grave with a niche (lahd) , and said : this is the way of the son of Adam.” Saheeh al – Jaami….

 

 

Niyyah ( intention ) and Ordinary deeds

63586_10202420590829042_397924745_n[1]On the ather hand , any ordinary deeds is regarded as an act of worship if the intention behind it is to obey and please Allah alone , and man will be rewarded for it as a good deed .

The prophet ( peae be upon him ) said :” Allah will rewarded you for whatever  you spend with the intention of gaining Allah ‘s pleasure even if it were a mouthful of food you put into your wife’s mouth .”

Mua’aath Ibn Jabal (ra) used to say : ” I expect Allah ( subhanahu wa Taa’la ) to reward for the time I spend in sleep as i expect him to reward me for night prayer , because I sleep with the intention to strengthen myself for the night prayer “.

 

Good Intention do not justify bad Deeds

However , good motivation behind a wrong action does not make it good.and does not justify it. In other words , the good intention is not a valid excuse for  commiting wrongful or sinful acts. However ,if the person does this out of ignorance he might be exempted.

Intention and Acts of WorshipCAUBC5EB:

In islam , Niyyah ( intention ) is part of every act of worship.

The validity of the act of worship depends upon the sincerity of intention.

1. If the intention is sencerity for the sake of Allah  , the act of worship is correct and accepted.

The Propheta (peace be upon him) said; ” On the Day of resurrection deeds will be presented to Allah .From them the deeds done  sincerely for Allah’s sake will be separated and the rest will be thrown in the Fire of Hell.”

2. If the intention is not for the sake of Allah then the act of worship is incorrect and rejected.

3. If the intention backing the act of worship is to please Allah but mixed  with other purposes then the act of worship is incorrect and will be rejected for Allah Almighty ;

The Prophet (peace be upon him)said: Whosoever prays to show off is associating a partner with Allah .Whosoever fasts to show off , he is associating a partner with Allah.Whosoever gives a charity to show off he is associating a partner with Allah “.

The Hadith emphasizes that the muslim must be sincere , truthful , and honest in his act of worship , he must make them all exclusively for  the sake of Allah alone.

Sincerity is  one of  the conditions od accepting good deeds.

The other condition is that the action must be done in accordance with the Shariah as it will be explained in the other Hadith.

Deeds are but by intentions

The Hadith means that action are juded according to the motivations behind them.The validity or goodness of action depends upon the intention associated them.

The reward or punishment of an action is not only determined by the nature of the action itself but also according to the intentions linked with it.

Therefore intention is the most important factor for our actions.And Allah Almighty looks first into our hearts to judge our action.One can say the intention is the spirit of the action.The action is accepted or rejected according to what is in our hearts.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said :” Allah does not look at your bodies, nor does He look at your appearance, but He looks at your hearts “.

 

Hadith Prophet Muhammad (saw)

The Prophet said,

  “The example of the person abiding by Allah’s order and restrictions in comparison to those who violate them is like the example of those persons who drew lots for their seats in a boat.

    Some of them got seats in the upper part, and the others in the lower. When the latter needed water, they had to go up to bring water (and that troubled the others), so they said, ‘Let us make a hole in our share of the ship (and get water) saving those who are above us from troubling them.

  So, if the people in the upper part left the others do what they had suggested, all the people of the ship would be destroyed, but if they prevented them, both parties would be safe.”

Patience in the Qur’an: Six Benefits

1. Instruction: Patience is enjoyed upon the Believers. 

And endure patiently, your patience is not but from Allah. (16:127)

So wait patiently for the Decision of your Lord, for verily, you are under Our Eyes. (52:48)

2. That which is opposite to patience is forbidden

So wait with patience for the Decision of your Lord, and be not like the Companion of the Fish – when he cried out (to Us) while he was in deep sorrow. (68:48)

3. Patience is made a condition of success and prosperity
 
O you who believe! Endure and be more patient, and guard your territory by stationing army units permanently at the places from where the enemy can attack you, and fear Allah, so that you may be successful. (3:200)

4. The reward of those who exercise patience is doubled

These will be given their reward twice over, because they are patient, and repel evil with good, and spend out of what We have provided them. (28:54)

Only those who are patient shall receive their reward in full, without reckoning. (39:10)

Sulayman ibn Qasim said, “the reward of every deed is known, except for the reward of patience which will be like heavy rain.”

5. Patience and emaan are pre-requisites for leadership in religion

And We made from among them (Children of Israel), leaders, giving guidance under Our Command, when they were patient and used to believe with certainty in Our Ayat. (32:24)

6. Patience is the way to earn the Companionship of Allah

And be patient. Surely, Allah is with those who are patient.

 

 

 

Warning against anger :

Abu Hurayrah narrated: A man said to the Prophet Muhammad r : “Advise me!” The Prophet replied: “Do not become angry.” The man repeated (his request) several times, and the Prophet said in each case, “Do not become angry.”  [Al-Bukhari].

المعنى الإجمالي:   

–       نهي الإسلام عن الغضب لأن نتائجه ضارة، وحذر منه لأنه من الشيطان، والمسلم لا يغضب الآخرين بغير حق.

 General Meaning

Islam has warned us against anger because it has bad consequences and forbid it because it is from Satan. The Muslim shouldn’t be angry with anyone unjustly.

–  

     Insight and forbearance are good characteristics and whoever gets angry often will have much to regret.

– Whoever leads to anything good gets the reward of the one who follows him

The Messenger of Allah r said:

“Whoever calls to guidance will have a reward similar to those who follow him, without it detracting from their reward in any way. And whoever calls to misguidance will bear the burden of sin similar to those who follow him, without it detracting from their burden in any way.”

General Meaning:

المعنى الإجمالي:

–       فضل الدلالة على الخير والحث عليه وأن ثوابه عظيم.

This hadith shows the significance of doing good and encouraging others to follow it. And whoever calls others to good will attain a great reward.

–       TheThere is a great reward for the one who leads others to good for he will also get the reward of those who follow him (without their reward diminishing in the least)

–       Islam has issued a strict warning against those who invite others to misguidance or innovations and also against the one who is reason to mislead the people.
