KHADEEJA BINTH KHUWAILID

KHADEEJA BINTH KHUWAILID

Khadija, Binth Khuwailid the Perfect Woman

There have been many women in the history of the world who have become great and famous because of their great deeds. Mankind can justly be proud of them.
But in the entire history of the world, there are only four women who could measure up to the high standards of true greatness and perfection set by Islam. They measured up to these standards by dint of their great services to Allah. Muhammed Mustafa, the Prophet of Islam, the Recipient of Revelation from Heaven, and its Interpreter, identified them. They are:
1. Asiya, the wife of Pharaoh
2. Maryam (Mary), the mother of Isa (Jesus)
3. Khadija, the daughter of Khuwayled, and
4. Fatima Zahra, the daughter of Muhammed Mustafa (S)
Muhammed  (sal) found only four perfect women in the entire human race. Out of these four, the last two belong to the same house; they are Khadija, the mother, and Fatima, her daughter.
Khadija was the image of the perfect soul.
In the rest of mankind, the only other women who might qualify as perfect, would be the other wives of Muhammed Mustafa. But he himself gave the verdict in this matter, and his verdict remains irrevocable. He mentioned only Khadija out of all his wives as the perfect woman, and thus excluded – by a fiat  his other wives from the group of perfect women

One of the characteristic weaknesses of women is said to be jealousy. Khadija was untouched by jealousy of any kind. She was a woman who found fulfillment, pleasure and satisfaction in giving. She was a munificent patron of the poor. She was at her very best when she was feeding the hungry and comforting the cheerless. The acts of feeding and comforting the hungry and the cheerless did not call for a conscious effort on her part; for her they had become a reflex.
Just as Khadija was free from jealousy, she was also free from cynicism. One thing she never did, was to hurt anyone. She never made fun of any woman; she never tried to belittle anyone; she never despised anyone; she was never angry and never spiteful; and she was strictly nonjudgmental. She never uttered an ugly or a pejorative word against anyone. So true to the dimensions of the understanding heart, she was solicitous of the feelings of even the humblest and the poorest of women, and she was distressed by the distress of other people.

Khadija was an “eye-witness” of the birth of Islam. She nursed it through its infancy, through its most difficult, and through its most formative years. Islam was given shape and design in her home. If any home can be called the cradle of
Islam, it was her home. She “reared” Islam. If any home can be called the “axis” of Islam, it was her home; Islam revolved around her home. Her home was the “home” of Quran Majid the Book of Allah, and the religious and political code of Islam.
It was in her home that Gabriel was bringing Revelations from Heaven for ten years.

Khadija has collected more “firsts” in the history of nascent Islam than anyone else. She was the first wife of the last messenger of Allah. She was the first Believer. She was the very first mortal to declare that the Creator was only One, and that Muhammed was His messenger. Next to her husband, she was the very first individual who heard the Voice of Revelation. She was the first person who offered prayers to Allah with her husband. Whenever he went into the presence of Allah, she was his constant companion. She was the first Mother of Believers. She was the only wife of Muhammed Mustafa who did not have to co-exist with a co-wife. All the love, all the affection and all the friendship of her husband, were hers and hers alone exclusively

When Islam came under mounting pressure from its enemies, Khadija sacrificed her comfort, her wealth and her home for it; and now it would appear that she sacrificed her life also. Without a doubt, if she had lived in her palatial house in Makka, surrounded by her maid-servants, she might have lived for many more years. But she preferred to stand by her husband and his clan, and to share the bitters of life with them. During the siege, she had to endure not only the pangs of hunger and thirst but also the extremes of heat in summer and cold in winter; yet she never complained to her husband about them. Whether times were good or bad, whether she had plenty or she had nothing, she was always cheerful.
Muhammed forever remembered Khadija with affection, gratitude and love. During her illness, he kept a nightlong vigil nursing her, comforting her and praying for her. He told her that Allah had promised Eternal Bliss to her, and had built for her a palace of pearls in Paradise. Toward morning her frail frame could not endure the attack of fever any more and her sanctified and noble soul left this earth for its destination in Heaven where it entered the company of the immortals. Her death filled Muhammed’s heart with sorrow. Peace on Khadija(rali)  to whom Allah Ta’ala sent His greetings and salutations.

Quran and the modern science

Quran and the modern science

Al-quran ,the main source of the Islamic faith ,is a book believed by muslims ,to be of completely Divine origin .Muslims also believe that it contains guidance for all mankind.since the message of the quran is believed to be for all times,it should be relavent to every age.Does the quran pass this test ? In this booklet , We can  give an objective analysis of the muslim belief regarding the divine origin of the quran,In the light of established scientific discoveries.

Every living thing is made of water

Consider the following quranic verse :

أَوَلَمْ يَرَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَنَّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ كَانَتَا رَتْقًا فَفَتَقْنَاهُمَا وَجَعَلْنَا مِنَ الْمَاء كُلَّ شَيْءٍ حَيٍّ أَفَلا يُؤْمِنُونَ

Do not the unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation)before we clove them asunder ?We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe ?(Al qur’an 21:30)

Only after advances have been made in science, do we now  know that cytoplasm, the basic substance of the cell is made up of 80% water. Modern research has also revealed that most organisms consist of 50% to 90% water and that every living entity requires water for its existence.

Was it possible 14 centuries ago for any human being to guess that every living being was made of water ? Moreover would such a guess be conceivable by a human being in the deserts of Arabia where there has always been scarcity of water ?

The following verse refers to the creation of animals from water.

وَاللَّهُ خَلَقَ كُلَّ دَابَّةٍ مِن مَّاء

‘And Allah has created every animal from water”(24:45)

The following verse refers to the creation of human beings from water.

وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ مِنَ الْمَاء بَشَرًا فَجَعَلَهُ نَسَبًا وَصِهْرًا وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ قَدِيرًا

“   It is he who has created man from water,Then has he established relashionships of lineage and marriage, for thy Lord has power (over all things)  (Al qur’an 25:54)

WHAT IS DA’WAH

What is Da’wah

The Literal meaning of” Da’wah”  in Arabic is to invite or call to something. When it is used in combination with Islam it means to invite mankind to submit to Allahwillingly.meaning to worship him alone, follow his straight path, and keep away from all sorts of disbeliefs and evil.Allah (swt) says

Invite to the way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching”

This is the call of Islam.the messege, all the prophets and messengers of Allah preached the same message to their peoples.Allah (SWT)says

And We did raise among every people a Messenger, preaching: ‘Worship Allah and shun the Evil One.’ Then among them were some whom Allah guided and among them were some who became deserving of ruin. So travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those who treated the Prophets as liars! 16:36]

The ultimate aim of Da’wah is the total obedience to Allah, sincerely from one’s heart,in his inward and outward,in his private as well as public life.

How to deliver Da’wah.

The preacher’s aim and focus should be insuring that Da’wah is delivered to people with wisdom and in good manners.she/He should make sure that Allah’s message reaches people in clear, proper, and convincing  ways so that they are targeted according to their level of understanding, background and cultute.

The significance of giving Da’wah to Non-Muslims

.Da’wah among Non-Muslims occupies a very high rank in Islamic good deeds because it is the heritage of the prophets of Allah, the continuation of their mission, and core of their message.

Islam is for all peoples, not for muslims only

The muslim ummah is entrusted with the duties of  Da’wah among non-muslims because Islam is the final message of Allah  to all mankind.

Every prophet before Islam was sent to his people only.and after left this world, another prophet carried his mission after him.prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was not only the last prophetbut was also sent to all peoples.there are no prophets coming after him to continue preaching the message of Allahas it used to be with previous nations. Therefore ,the task of delivering the final messge of Allahto mankind after him(PBUH)has been laid on the muslim nation.

“And we have not  sent you but to all mankind as a bearer of good news and as a warner, but most people do not know (34:28)

And it is the responsibility of all muslims to make the message of Islam reach people in every place of the world ,and from all backgrounds.

MUSLIM LADIES DRESS CODE IN ISLAM

Quranic guidelines for women’s dress

 The Best Garment

“O children of Adam, we have provided you with garments to cover your bodies, as well as for luxury. But the best garment is the garment of righteousness. These are some of God’s signs, that they may take heed.” 7:26

Righteousness is the basic rule of dress code in the Quran. Any woman knows quite well what is decent and what is revealing. Women do not need to be told, they know how to maintain righteousness and how not to. God created the woman and therefore He knows that she can make that distinction, and that is why God set this rule of righteousness as the first rule.

  Cover your Bosoms

The second rule can be found in 24:31. Here God commands women to cover their bosoms. But before quoting 24:31 let us review some crucial words that are always mentioned with this topic, namely ‘hijab’ and ‘khimar’.

The word ‘hijab’ in the Quran

Hijab is the term used by many Muslim women to describe their head cover that may or may not include covering their face except their eyes, and sometimes covering also one eye. The Arabic word ‘hijab’ can be translated into veil or yashmak. Other meanings for the word ‘hijab’ include, screen, cover(ing), mantle, curtain, drapes, partition, division, divider.

Can we find the word ‘hijab’ in the Quran?

The word ‘hijab’ appeared in the Quran 7 times, five of them as ‘hijab’ and two times as ‘hijaban’, these are 7:46, 33:53, 38:32, 41:5, 42:51, 17:45 & 19:17.

Not to reveal any of their beauty spots

The third rule can also be found in 24:31. Here God commands women not to reveal their beauty spots except what is normally apparent (face, hair, lower arms and lower legs .. etc).

“They shall not reveal any of their ‘zeenatahhunna’ (beauty spots), except that which is normally apparent.”

  Lengthen your Garments

“O prophet, tell your wives, your daughters, and the wives of the believers that they shall lengthen their garments. Thus, they will be recognised and avoid being insulted. God is Forgiver, Most Merciful.” 33:59

When we reflect on the above words, we would understand the great wisdom of God. In this verse, God, deliberately said that women should lengthen their garments, but did not say how long is long. God could have said tell them to lengthen their garments to their ankles or to their mid-calf or to their knees, but He did not. God knows that we will be living in different communities and have different cultures and insists that the minor details of this dress code will be left for the people of every community to decide for themselves, as long as righteousness is always maintained.

Conditions  for women’s dress

  1. Clothing must cover the entire body ,only the habds and face may remain visible.
  2. The material mus not be so thin that one can see through it.
  3. The clothing must hang loose so that the shape of the body is not apperent.
  4. The female clothing must not resemble the man’s clothing.
  5. The design of the clothing must not resemble the clothing of the non believing women.
  6. The design must not consist of bold designs which attract attention.
  7. Clothing should not be worn for the sole purpose of gaining reputation or increasing one’s status in society.

I hope that with this article Muslim women will be able to decide for themselves what sort of life they want in this world, and how they want to be treated on the day of judgement.

ISLAM AND THE BUDDHISM

ISLAM AND THE BUDDHISUM
About 2500 years ago .buddhisum  arose in Northeast India and ,in time, extended its influence throughout Sri Lanka,Burma,Thailand,Laos,   Kampuchea,China,Japan,Tibet,Mongolia,Manchuria.,Korea and Nepal.Today   it has about 330 million followers.
Definitions of  Buddhism have always varied ,along with how Buddhists understand life’s meaning.for some, Buddhism is a
Religion. Others regard it as a sect or school of philosophy.but
From its view of life and all its practices.it is ultimately clear that the Doctrine of buddhisum is idolatrous and superstitious.
Since Buddhism is an atheist religion that lacks any belief in God, it also rejects the existence of angels, the eternal after life.Hell, and the Day of judgment.
“You call me to reject God and to associate something with him about  which I have no knowledge ,while I call you to the almighty, the endlessly forgiving (Al Quran 40:42)”
Siddhartha Gauthama .the founder of Buddhism, was born in the   Indian city of Kapilawastu and lived between 563 and 483 B.C. At this time Indias dominant religion was Brahmanism, the religion of Aryan invaders.

Gauthama was born the son of a wealthy prince by the name of Suddhodana, in the noble Sakya family. After spending his youth in comfort and ease, Gauthama left the palace  at the age of 29 and began a mystric search until his
Death at the age of 80. During  his life time,he established certain principles  that over the course of time, evolved into the doctrine we now call  Buddhism.

THOSE WHO ASSOCIATE BUDDHA WITH GOD

Suggest that he urged his followers to worship him,the Brahmans who In itsbasic beliefs , philosophy and practices, this religion is idolatrours.buddhists hold  Buddha in a heightened sense of love ,deep respect and fear, even accepting him as a God
Although we have no documents from Buddhas time that
were already worshipping idols –quickly began to make statues of Sidhartha. And in time ,those who nurtured Buddha An excessive love towards came to worship these idols and consider him a God.
However ,all religions based on God’s revelations adhere to a monotheistic  faith that recognizes him as single and  unique. In the Quran (22:34) God states “Your God is one God,so submit to him” to deny the supremacy of God and worship the idols of an ordinary person ,as the Buddhists do ,is described in the Quran ,God reminds us that this “association” is a very serious sin “God does not forgive anything being associated with him ,but he forgives whoever he wills for anything  other than that .Anyone who associates something with God has commited a terrible crime (Quran 4:48)
The Islamic religion is based on the belief in the oneness of God (thawhid).God often repeats the phrase “La ilaha illahu (there is no god but he ) which is the fist condition of faith .therefore, the most basic meaning of shirk is deviating from this truth into the mistaken idea that there are other beings besides God who possess”power and might”In the Quran, our Lord makes him self known by describing his attributes and tells us in many verses in the Quran that there is no God but he. In verse 59:22,-24.God reveals his sublime names in these words.”He is God- there is no god but him.He is the knower of the unseen and the visible. He is the all merciful ,the most merciful.
He is the God – there is no god but him .He is the king ,the most pure, the perfect peace, the trustworthy, the safeguader, the Almighty, the compeller, the supremely great.Glory be to God above all they associate with him.
He is God – the creator, the maker, the giver of form.To him belong the most beautiful names .everything in the heavens and earth glorifies him.He is the Almighty,All wise.
For example ,God is all seeing and knows”what is even more concealed”when someone acts in secrets, with   no one around ,believing that no one sees him,our Lord does see him and knows everything that he does .He sees and knows every event that happens in the universe, down to its smallest details, because he is the one God who created them all.in the Quran(6:103)God affirms that ,Eyesight cannot perceive him,but the perceives eyesight. He is the all penetrating, the All-Aware”

In short,Islam is a liberating religion that saves people from useless customs and prohibitions, social pressures, and worries about what other people may think .It calls them to lead calm, peaceful lives with the purpose of gaining God’s approvel. So it is that our prophet(may God bless with him and grant him peace)in many of his sayings, advises us to make religion simple and easy.
“make things easy for people, and do not make it difficult for them, and make them calm with glad tidings and do not repulse them

This picture shows Buddha and his followers, bowls in their hand ,accepting offerings. These irritational Buddhists  traditions  continue even today.
Buddhisum enslaves its devotees in misty monasteries and forces them in to a life of suffering and poverty.strangely,It discourages good food, cleanliness, comfort  the blessings that God has created for human beings-accepts suffering as a virtue
And advises its devotees to lead a miserable life. For Buddhists monks and nuns, life is full of all kinds of difficulties. They are forbidden to work or own property, obliged to feed themselves by going from door to door and begging among the people, with their bowls in their hands.Buddhists  priests are even called Bhikkus(beggers) by the people.Buddhists  priests are forbidden to marry or have any kind of family life .They may earn only one robe which must be of poor quality  yellow or red cloth.

Buddhist priests walk the streets early in the mornings, with bowls in their hands ,accepting offerings from the people.
According to the Quran (7:32) say” who has forbidden the fine clothing God has produced for his servants and the good kinds of provision? Say on the Day of Rising ,such things will be exclusively for those who believed during their life in this world”  In this way ,we make the signs clear for people who know.
According to superstitious Buddhists beliefs, the existence of the universe, human beings, death and rebirth are all uncontrolled processes. Those who believe in this irritational claim are spiritually unbalanced. They live in tension and discomfort that comes from the frightening idea that everything in the world is arbitrary.but Islam teaches that God controls everything that happens in the universe. Those who understand this trust God at every moment ,living in the joyous comfort of his
Support and protection.
As a religion ,therefore,Buddhisum suffers from a very narrow vision that keeps its believers from considering such basic questions as where they came from,or how the universe and all living things came to be.Indeed,it deters them from even thinking about these things and presses them into the narrow mold of their present earthly life.According to buddhisum ,hunger, misery and pain guide the way to the truth.Present day Buddhists believe that the more pain they endure, and the more hunger and misery they suffer, the sooner they become enlightened. But this is not enlightenment. It is an inhuman life of self –abuse.A verse of the Quran (40:31)Says “God does not want any injustice for his servants” This perverse practice of Buddhists is totally contrary to Islamic morality.
Buddhisum’s attempt to nullify all human desires is another aspect of its narrow philosophy.God created the blissings of this world for human beings  benefit and pleasure, and so that they would give him thanks in return .For this reason ,Islam does not command people to suppress their desire or to endure pain and suffering. On the contrary ,It enjoins them to take advantage of the beautiful aspects in the world (apart from base and unlawful behavior) not to restrain themselves needlessly ,nor to inflict pain upon themselves. For this reason,God revealed ( Quran 7:157) that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had “ relieved his followers of their chains”
Those who follow the Messenger, the Ummi, whom they find written down with them in the Torah and Gospel, commanding them to do right and forbidding them to do wrong ,making good things lawful for them and bad things unlawful for them, relieving them of their heavy loads and the chains which were around them. Those who believe in him and honor him and help him,and follow the Light that has been sent down with him,and follow the Light that has been sent down with him, they the ones who are successful.

Although upto this point we’ve examined Buddhism as superstitious and false.
In the Quran God tells us that to every nation ,He sent messengers to deliver his warnings.
We have sent you (Muhammad) with the truth bringing good news and giving warning. There is no community to which a warner has not come (Quran 35:24)
